On the 15th of September 2018, Edy and Andy had a beautiful outdoor wedding ceremony at Bradgate Park in Leicester, and then on to the Queen’s Arms pub in Lutterworth. This is the preview of their wedding photographs!
I arrived at Bradgate Park in Leicester to a warm welcome from Sam at Eventfully Yours, who was busy dressing the outdoor wedding ceremony area and making her final finishing touches. Jo from My Perfect Ceremony was preparing for delivering the service.
It wasn’t long before Andy and the couples’ guests began to arrive up the woodland pathway and taking their seats on the felled tree trunks in the ceremony clearing. What a lovely way to hold your wedding ceremony!
Edy then arrived with her family and bridesmaids, and looked truly stunning in her wedding gown, complete with her bouquet of purple freesias. After giving special little gifts to her bridesmaids, she started to make her way though the trees in arm with her father Nev up to meet her husband-to-be Andy.
Jo gave a really lovely service in the stunning surroundings. After Andy and Edy had said their I Do’s and been announced husband and wife, their guests created a bubble tunnel exit for the happy couple! They are always so much fun! Everyone then moved through to another area of the woods all set up as a prosecco bar! It was such a beautiful location for the group portraits too!
As the guests began making their way over to the reception venue, Andy and Edy and I snuck off for some newlywed couple photographs in the incredible Bradgate Park. We were lucky to bump in to a park warden who generously agreed to give the couple a lift up to the top of the hill in his van! How amazing, hee hee!
Bradgate Park in Leicester is such a special place, with a real mix of vistas at our disposal! The Park offers a wild and rugged landscape with dramatic rocky outcrops and gnarled old oak trees, many of which are well over 500 years old. The landscape offers some of the finest views, and is rich in change throughout the seasons! It is a fantastic place to come for pre-wedding photoshoots too! Edy and Andy loved the rocky area near to Hunts Hill and Old John tower, which is where we took our time to create some beautiful and intimate portraits.
We were then on our way over to The Queen’s Arms pub in Lutterworth for their relaxed wedding reception with their family and friends. It was beautifully styled with lots of relaxed seating arrangements on the floor using pallets and straw bales. The delicate glass hanging tea light holders in the tree was a lovely feature. I was super impressed with the cosy little kids area all set up with a projector for watching movies once it had got dark!
Edy and Andy had chosen my half day wedding photography package so, after gathering some more detail photographs and photographs of the couple and their guests, it was time for me to let them enjoy the rest of their night together.
Andy and Edy, I wish you both a lifetime of happiness, and I can’t wait to share the rest of your photographs with you! Thank you for choosing Indigo and Violet Photography!
