Gabriella and Dave met back in May 2013, when their mutual best friends Marc and Laura introduced them to each other at a charity music festival in a local Leicester village. Awesomely, their wedding day is exactly 4 years to the weekend that they met!
Dave proposed at the end of August 2016, in their new home. Gabriella tells of the moment he popped the question: “We were getting ready to go out for a meal at the Grey Goose. Dave had been waiting for me downstairs to get ready – but as I’m a neat freak and a bit ‘OCD’ – I wanted to whip the hoover round before we left! So I’m hoovering away before he comes in and tells me to ‘put that bloody hoover down for just 5 minutes!’ – and then he pops the Question!! Apparently he’d been waiting downstairs nervously for nearly an hour and then I finally came downstairs and started hoovering – but it was a very ‘us’ moment. He said he wanted to do it at home as this is planned to be our ‘forever home’.”
On their wedding day, Dave got ready with his mates and his son Alfie at their home, while Gabriella and her girls got ready at her Mum’s house just around the corner. As such they booked a Second Shooter so that the memories at both locations could be captured.
It was a cloudy day, but the girls definitely brought the laughter and sunshine that morning, especially when Michelle started shaking her tassels! Everyone was happy and relaxed, it really was a wonderful morning! How incredible did Gabriella look in her dress by the way!
Although we sadly weren’t allowed to take photographs, the church service was just perfect, and the readings from friends Natalie and James were really lovely. Before long, the new Mr and Mrs Adams were being congratulated by their guests and getting covered in confetti!
After some photographs in the pretty church grounds, it was off to the Grey Goose restaurant in Gilmorton, Leicester, for drinks and canapés. The Bride and Groom received lots and lots of hugs, and Alfie was amazed by awesome card tricks!
Brilliant speeches by the Groom and his Best Man preceded their wedding breakfast meal. By the way, it was Gabriella’s Mum Giuliana who won the bet on the length of Dave’s speech! Guests tucked into a choice of delicious options from their specially-made menu – that’s the benefit of having your wedding reception in your favourite restaurant! (I was even honoured to have a coeliac-friendly meal made for me by their fab chef! – Thank you guys!!)
As the evening went on, and more happy guests arrived to share in the celebration, the party got into full swing! The Groomsman’s cigars, that they received as a gift from Dave and Gabriella, were finally lit and enjoyed on the patio. There was much boy-band style singing from them all as well, much to the amusement of Alfie!
People soon started hitting the dance-floor as the DJ got going, warming it up ready for the happy couple’s First Dance. What an incredible party then followed!!! Drinks were flowing and the dance moves were coming from absolutely everyone! (Alicia’s were pretty damn awesome by the way!) I bet there were some sore heads the next morning! ha ha!
Congratulations again guys, I hope you enjoy seeing your preview photographs. I look forward to editing your full gallery and sharing them with you in due course!! Have an AMAZING honeymoon!!
