Maria and Tom were married on the 3rd August 2017 – a wonderfully sunny day, full of happiness, teepees, and beautiful views! This is their Wedding Preview, to give you a taster of their amazing day!
Eight years ago Tom and Maria met in their local pub where Maria was the barmaid and Tom was a regular, every Friday night! (Maria suspects he was after free drinks!). But it was in 2016, when they were out in the Peak District walking their dog Buddy, and Maria turned around and found Tom was down on one knee with a ring!
Maria continues, “I wasn’t expecting it, I still had fake tan on from the night before, hadn’t brushed my hair, and was complaining about being too cold! But for some he still wanted to ask me!”
On the 3rd of August I met a nervous Tom, and his Best Men Ben and John, at Spinkhill Catholic Church, which sits atop a hill just outside of Sheffield. Guests soon started arriving with smiles other faces as they took their places inside. Maria, and her Dad and Bridesmaids, then pulled up in their white Land Rovers (a favourite of Toms), and the excitement began!
Their Catholic service went without a hitch, and the readings from Tom’s friend and Maria’s sister were wonderfully fitting. Their rings were then joyfully exchanged and Tom gave Maria a big kiss! Just as it was time to leave the church the heavens decided to open, but the newlyweds were happy to leave in a flurry of confetti anyway! How awesome! And then just as quickly as the rain started, it stopped again! And so we were able to take some lovely family portraits outside their family church before heading over to Inkersall Grange Farm.
Inkersall Grange Farm is a working farm and a beautiful new wedding venue comprised of 3 giant Teepees in its own specially designated area of countryside. As you drive down the long driveway you really feel like you are getting away from it all and entering a magical land!
As you can see from the photographs below, it is also surrounded by beautiful meadows just perfect for stunning portraits in the warm summer sun!
The Bride and Groom, and guests, (and I!), all had so much fun relaxing in and around the Teepees. Playing giant Jenga, Croquet, having Afternoon Tea on Maria’s gorgeous vintage china, toasting marshmallows over the fire pit, and watching the stunning sunset over the back of the Teepees. It all couldn’t have been more perfect and relaxed! Then the band played on into the night!
Huge congratulations Mr and Mrs Telford! I hope you are having an amazing honeymoon and I can’t wait to share your full wedding gallery with you when it is complete!
