Wedding Photography in Belper River Gardens // Jack + Gabriela

On the 15th July Gabriela and Jack travelled up from their home in London to get married in Derby, before heading off to Holland Ward for their reception. As Jack grew up in Belper they also asked if we could take a little detour over to Belper River Gardens for their wedding photography portraits. As you can see, I thought that was a GREAT idea!

The sun was shining and it was a great day for a wedding in Derby! Meeting Gabriela in the Cathedral Quarter Hotel I was taken aback by her stunning designer dress and her beautiful hat, both made especially for her by her designer friend back home in London. – I just had to take some bridal portraits on the grand staircase in the hotel before we headed off!

Jack and his Groomsman were waiting nervously over at Derby Registry Office, happily greeting friends, family, and even his childhood Nanny from when he and his brother were little came along! The excitement in the air was wonderful and I knew everyone couldn’t wait to get started!

Their ceremony was fabulous and full of so much love. After rings were exchanged and kisses were shared, everyone filed outside to give their congratulations to the new Mr and Mrs Denison! It was soon time for just Gabriela, Jack and I to travel over to Belper River Gardens for a walk around and their wedding portraits. Their guests all jumped on to a coach to make the short journey over to Holland Ward.

Belper River Gardens was its usual beautiful self. It’s not hard to see why it’s one of my favourite places to photograph! This particular weekend it was especially pretty as it was their wonderful Well Dressing weekend, and the decorations made by the local community were just lovely!

It was soon time to travel over to the reception and join the guests for the party! Jack and Gabriela originally met at their fencing class and their fencing friends created an épée arch for their arrival. We then had lots of fun with their group photographs while battling the crazy wind! It was brilliant!

It was soon time for my coverage to end, but not before ensuring I capture Jack and his Best Man’s speech during their Wedding Breakfast starter and main course. The atmosphere was full of love and laughter and it was truly an honour to be a part of their very special day!

If you are interested in a shorter wedding photography package, just like Jack and Gabriela, then just head over to my Weddings Page and take a look at my 4 hour Hydrangea package! I would love to be a part of your special day too!
Love Jenny xx
